Ella Mae Dixon, originally from Wellfleet, Massachusetts, is a singer living in New York City.
Ella Mae is drawn to the music of a bygone era. She evokes the zest and passion of concert legends. In the vein of the fabulous girl singers of the 20th century, Ella Mae Dixon’s backbone is the Great American Songbook, but her musical choices are not defined by genre— they are defined by her taste. Her natural knack for performance and her impressive vocal agility have garnered praise from top New York cabaret critics and audiences around the world.
By the time she turned 22, Ella Mae had already directed, designed, and produced 10 solo concerts. In March of 2023, at just 19 years old, Ella Mae made her New York City headlining debut to a sold-out crowd at Birdland Jazz Club. Since then, she has sold-out concert venues, has been a guest artist with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, and has headlined some of the most prestigious nightclubs in America and abroad (most recently in London at The Crazy Coqs and in Paris with two sold out shows at 38Riv Jazz Club). Ella Mae was an inaugural member of the New York City branch of the Satin Dollz, a 1940s style tight-harmony, vocal jazz group. At 18 years old, she was the youngest Satin Doll performer to date. From the Fall of 2021 to the Winter of 2022, Ella Mae was a student of the Juilliard School’s Extension Division. Ella Mae’s debut album “Introducing Ella Mae Dixon” came out in October of 2025.
Renowned critic Stephen Mosher of Broadway World put it best when covering Ella Mae Dixon’s headlining debut in New York, “There have been any number of people more seasoned in life and in show business who haven't scored such a grand opening night, and if this is the way Dixon is going to start her club career in the city, then people need to get in line and get a ticket and see just how good she is.”
